Primero Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy

Everyone is welcome at Primero. Have fun, get fit and learn jiu jitsu and wrestling skills in a safe, friendly and positive environment. Whether you are looking for; physical fitness, self defense, self confidence, sport or just fun, Primero can help. We offer programs for men, women and children 7 years and up. You will learn all aspects of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, from throws and takedowns to ground work and submissions. You will also learn technique from American Wrestling that has been adapted to flow with jiu jitsu.

We believe in the importance of mastering basic fundamental skills in order to grow and advance as a grappler and we emphasize the mastery of those skills. Our method of instruction provides a common sense approach to self defense while providing a safe, friendly and positive environment. We integrate beginners into ongoing classes with mixed level students. Newcomers learn not only from the instructor, but also from more experienced students. Experienced students, in turn, gain valuable insight by helping new students progress, thus providing a wider pool of technical knowledge, wisdom and insight. Our goal is to produce positive results and to promote the physical and mental development of each and every student in our academy.
