Project HELP, standing for Health, Eat, Lead, Prosper, is a nutrition education and cooking program offered free for the local community of Gardner Massachusetts. Project HELP was started by recent graduate of Framingham State University's Food and Nutrition program Rachael Sharpe. The idea for the program started in partnership with Faith Lutheran Church and the Gardner Community Action Committee (local food pantry). Project HELP offers free cooking class held at Faith Lutheran Church that cover basic nutrition and easy healthy cooking that is easy on the wallet. The program also supports the CAC's vegetable garden in hopes to increase the amount of fresh produce the community can receive.
This program is partnered with and supported by Wheat Ridge Ministries and the ELCA Youth and Young Adult Program/Domestic World Hunger Program.
