The Project SMILE mentoring program is a 12 month program that works closely with the Mariposa County School District, recruiting mentors who are positive role models from two Mariposa area high schools and 4th - 5th grade proteges from four Mariposa area grade schools. Mentoring encourages resiliency in youth by fostering caring, respectful relationships, and providing opportunities for meaningful involvement.
Both the Girl Talk and Boys Rock programs are conducted during the 9 month school year. They are geared toward grade school youth and teach socialization skills to prevent bullying and other unfavorable types of peer relationships.
All Prevention Early Intervention (PEI) programs include: snacks & refreshments, activities that teach, and games!
