Promise in Brevard broke ground on its second social enterprise, the Promise Café and Bakery, on Sept. 10, 2016! Set to open this fall, the Café & Bakery will be located in West Melbourne Community Park, next to the Space Coast Field of Dreams and will be open to the public.
The Café and Bakery will provide employment, vocational and culinary arts training to as many as 40 young adults with special needs.
This enterprise will feature a café/bakery, where our Promisers will serve our customers, a WiFi bar overlooking the City of West Melbourne’s future Skate Park, a private dining room, a country store featuring many of our pre-packed menu items, a handicapped-accessible walk-up to-go window and ice-cream corner and an outdoor pavilion, overlooking the City of West Melbourne’s future splash pad. We will offer made-from-scratch menu items, organic soda and a variety of fresh, healthy and homemade signature items. We will offer both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a culinary program, in which our future Promise residents will be employed.

The Cafe & Bakery will also feature a legacy wall, which will be lined with one-of-a-kind blocks made from excess wood from the Promise Construction sites and other donated wood. Each block will be laser engraved with your personalized inscription and then off for custom finishes and staining by our Promisers and their families.
