I am a Mount Vernon, Ohio based attorney and public affairs consultant. I advise clients on complex legal, business, marketing and public policy issues. I cofounded and led Ohio’s only statewide, pro-taxpayer organization for over ten years. Through that work I appeared as a guest or was interviewed by the Fox News Channel, Court TV, the Ohio News Network, Ohio Public TV and Radio, Clear Channel Radio, National Public Radio, and various major television network affiliates. I also was interviewed or had guest columns appear in very major Ohio newspaper, several national newspapers and most other daily and weekly newspapers throughout Ohio.

I served as a top advisor to former House Speaker Larry Householder, the first speaker to take over after Ohio imposed term limits. I was widely credited for helping Mr. Householder secure that position. I served as a consultant to Ohio Members of Congress Jean Schmidt, Jim Jordan, and Bob Latta and for several years wrote and published a popular blog on Ohio issues.

I formerly served as the volunteer chairman of the boards of the East and North Columbus Drop Back in Learning Academies. These academies are innovative public charter schools managed by Edison Learning. I currently serve as the Chairman of Ilead Spring Meadows, a startup, project based new Ohio charter school.

During my hiatus from practicing law, I worked as a Default Analyst for the Mortgage Banking Executive Office of JPMorgan Chase Bank NA. I was assigned to work on highly escalated complaints concerning the National Mortgage Settlement, the Independent Foreclosure Review Settlement, CFPB and OCC issues, and other key regulatory issues. I won numerous awards and recognition for my advocacy on behalf of consumers at the bank. I have recently reopened my private law practice and am always seeking new work and projects.
