Dragos Zanchi, MD is an experienced pulmonologist with board certifications in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and nutrition. Since 2004, Dr. Zanchi has provided patients in the Tampa Bay area with highest level of medical care including early detection of lung cancer, treatment of pulmonary fibrosis and other lung conditions, and sleep disorders. His patients appreciate his kind and holistic approach—he always takes time to listen to their concerns, answer questions, and explain the treatment options in detail. Dr. Zanchi says, “my philosophy is that I treat my patient as I would like to be treated or as I would like my family to be treated. With respect, competence, good communication, and compassion.”

Dr. Rafael Martinez is a board-certified pulmonologist with more than 20 years of experience treating pulmonary diseases and sleep conditions. As co-founder of Pulmonary & Sleep of Tampa Bay, Dr. Martinez’ special interests include clinical research, early lung cancer detection, interventional bronchology, and interstitial lung disease. His practice has grown to include five convenient locations in the Tampa Bay area. Dr. Martinez seeks to put himself “in his patients’ shoes” to understand their suffering, find the problem’s root cause, and treat both cause and symptoms. Patients appreciate that he is bilingual in English and Spanish, able to conduct consultations with clarity and understanding for each individual. Dr. Martinez attended medical school at the University of Zaragoza School of Medicine in Zaragosa, Spain, and completed his residency at Mayaguez Medical Center in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at University District Hospital in San Juan.
