More about Queen B Farms

Queen B Farms is a small family ran farm in Mebane NC. (Southern Orange Co.) Own by Eric, Nita Bunker and our 10 year old son Charles. This is a 4th generation farm given to Eric’s Grand Parents as a wedding present from his Great Grand Daddy.
We have over 200 acres in farm uses.
Eric grew up raising cattle and when he married Nita, 18 years ago, he got sick with Ulcerative Colitis. He became steroid depend and had to have surgery to remove his whole colon. After that Nita found that with some foods it upset his stomach. She found that some of the preservatives in the foods where doing this. So she had to find a better way of cooking for him. So this is why we started eating what we could grow and wanted to share this with other people.
All of our meats do not have any Additives or Preservatives and contain no added hormones, antibodies or any artificial ingredients.
Our Black Angus beef is Dry Aged for 21 days. Our beef is 100% all Natural Beef. Our Chickens are never injected with any sea salt or chicken broth. Our cattle and Chickens are raised naturally with full access to sunshine, fresh air, fresh water and on grass pastures. We rotate them on these pastures. We could stop there but, there is a but, and we will tell you that when we do need to feed some local grown gains and hay, that we do starve our animals, to andmake sure they do not go hungry, when the grass is not growing. It would be cruel to them if we let them go hungry. And we do believe we need to be honest with our customers about this. And we believe that our animals all should be raised with all the love and care they need.
Our farm’s mission statement is: As a Christian that we should respect the animal that gives its life so that we may have life.
Our cattle are born and raised on our farm and we hatch out our own eggs. We do a fence line weaning with our year old calves (mamas on one side and babies on the other) this keeps the babies from the stress of being weaned. All cattle are on grass pastures and or rotate as need for them and the land. We do not feed them any hormones or antibiotics. Except in emergencies, we do not let any animal stuffer and or died in an in human way.
Our Chickens, Ducks and Turkeys are Never ever Debeaked, never ever forced into a molted... We do our best not to feed any GMO Crops to our birds. We do not feed them any hormones or antibiotics. Our Chicken will never ever be a 100% vegetarian fed. We let our bird do what they were born to do, and that is to eat bugs and worms. We always granted a meaningful outdoor access, we keep our birds out on our pastures and move them to fresh grass as need. They are allowed to spread their wings, nest and to take dusk baths, all natural behaviors. Our birds are all NPIP Certified (National Poultry Improvement Plan). This mean we have our birds tested by the USDA every 90 days for the following diseases Pullorum, Fowl typhoid, Avian Mycoplasmas, Salmonilla enteric and Avian influenzas. This is only a volunteered program, and if the USDA finds one sick bird they will kill all of our birds. But we feel that it is our responsibility to our customers.
Our butcher is only 30 min from our farm. This keeps our animals from the stress of a long ride in a trailer. Our butcher has also been certified as being humane in the butchering of our animals. We believe that stress no matter when it happens, will make for a bad cut of meat and our animals should be treated with respect at all times. All of our meats are Hala.
We also are working with North Carolina department of soil and water in doing our part to help improve water resources on our land to benefit all citizens of North Caroling in compliance with existing river basin and watershed rules. We believe that we must do our part in insuring a healthier tomorrow today.
You can buy by the pound and by the 1/4 of steer. Can come to the farm but no tours are given do to the spread of diseases to our animals please call. We also have eggs (brown, white and green). We have duck eggs for sale too. And at times we have baby chicks, ducks and rabbits for sale.

It's important to eat nutritious beef. You want your beef to be stress free, produced without or with minimal medication, are fed a pure vegetarian diet and are treated in a humane way. The easiest way to obtain this meat is by supporting our local farms! That way you can go out and see exactly where your meat comes from. Plus, farm fresh meat tastes a billion times better than that grocery store non-sense! And the same goes for your chicken.
