Race the Lake of the Sky

South Tahoe Standup Paddle is proud to host Race the Lake of the Sky®. This family friendly event attracts some of the world’s best athletes and has become known as the must attend flat water SUP race in the country. The support from our volunteers, the athletes, vendors and our small mountain community is what makes our race unlike any other. The spectacular venue at El Dorado Beach, coupled with the nearby accommodations, restaurants and nightlife all provide the perfect setting on the South Shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe. The amphitheater at El Dorado Beach takes spectating to a whole new level. Race the Lake of the Sky® has become a symbol of excellence. Referred to as the “gathering of the tribes,” this event focuses on bringing the SUP community together for a great weekend of paddling, competition and fun. Race the Lake of the Sky® is designed for paddlers of all ages and abilities. Amateurs and elite athletes alike come together on the water to make memories, enjoy the camaraderie and friendly competition.
