About RAD

The RAD coalition was formed in 2012 to combat alcohol and other drugs through education, outreach and environmental prevention strategies. Environmental Prevention acknowledges that social and physical conditions within communities play a major role in shaping the health and well-being of community members, especially youth.

The RAD coalition serves the communities of Service Planning Area 3 (SPA 3) of Los Angeles County, roughly the San Gabriel Valley communities of Alhambra, Altadena, Arcadia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bradbury, Claremont, Covina, Diamond Bar, Duarte, El Monte, Glendora , Industry, Irwindale, La Puente, La Verne, Monrovia, Monterey Park, Pasadena, Pomona, Rosemead, San Dimas, San Gabriel, San Marino, Sierra Madre, South El Monte, South Pasadena, Temple City, Walnut, and West Covina.

Founding RAD members include the following prevention agencies:
