About Ramsey Rehab

Ramsey Rehab was started by Ed Ramsey PT, DPT in December 1996 when he decided the Northern Worcester County area needed a Physical Therapist owned patient centered assertive out-patient Physical Therapy Clinic. Having worked in all areas of PT over his 6 years of college and 3 years post grad at UMASS Medical, Worcester, MA and more recently as a district manager covering Central and Northern MA and Northern FL for CHCA, Ed took the leap. The first patients were seen on May 9, 1997 on 33 Electric Ave, Fitchburg, MA and in 2000 a 2nd location was added on Erdman Way in Leominster, MA. The Leominster location would move 3 times for continued expansion until a 7000 sq. foot PT clinic and corporate office was opened Sept 2005. From there Ed expanded into Fort Devens (2008), Devens, MA until the base was decommissioned and the clinic closed (2013). Seeing additional opportunities to improve access to people needing PT Ed added a Tyngsboro (2009), Holden (2011) and most recently an Orange (2015) location.

Even with the continued growth-Ed still has his priorities straight.

Provide the absolute highest level of patient centered manual/exercise based PT in the areas he services
Assertive PT to assist the patient’s in regaining the highest level of function as possible so they can Live and Enjoy Life not suffer through it
Require all professional staff to stay up-to-date with current techniques and treatments and providing 2-3x more than competitors in continuing education money to make this happen.
With an eye on the rapid changes in Healthcare and on continuing to improve access to areas he serves-Ed is always considering new locations and programs. The addition of a PT clinic in the Ramsey Rehab 202 Sports Complex in Orange, MA is a good example. Expect several new programs to be launched before 2016 starts and as Ramsey Rehab starts it’s 20th year!
