Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is one of the largest and most diverse urban parks in Northern Nevada. Comprised of hundreds of acres crossing McCarran Blvd. the park hosts miles of walking and biking trails, Herman's Pond (an urban fishery), the Wilbur D May Museum and Arboretum, the historic Main House, a disc golf course, extensive wetlands, downhill mountain biking trails, 3 playgrounds, 5 reservable picnic pavilions, ponds and creeks, individual bbq and picnic sites, a developed nature trail, a working pasture, an off leash area, and access to Nevada's wild open spaces throughout Peavine Mountain.
