The Rebuilding Together program serves homeowners who meet the Federal Government HUD income limits, live in a single family dwelling, and carry homeowners insurance. Homeowners are referred to Rebuilding Together through a variety of community organizations, service agencies, faith-based groups, and neighbors.
The northeast Ohio community is served by providing a unique resource that is not available from any other agency in the area. Although there are emergency home repair programs, and minor home repair programs, none are volunteer based, free to the homeowner, and none provide the depth and breath of service of Rebuilding Together.
Because the services are free, the type of work and repairs completed are dictated by the needs of the house and homeowner. Rebuilding Together is an integral part of the housing advocacy group and provides referral services to other agencies in the community. Rebuilding Together works with other housing professionals to focus on improving existing housing stock.
