Red Letter Farm

Karen Fulcher of Red Letter Farm currently works out of a farm in Stokesdale NC off hwy 158 (Hardins Farm) as well as traveling to owners farms for lessons/ training sessions.
2015 Red Letter Farm (Karen Fulcher) Rates:
LESSONS:
$45 on site lesson. Lessons tend to vary between 45 min to an hour at a time. I will travel to teach but mileage will be added to price of lesson. If multiple lessons, the mileage will be split between riders/owners.
$25 a piece for group lessons

TRAINING:
$400 a month for Training. Exercise/training/lesson 4-6 days a week. Lighted arena, round pen as well as hay pastures for hacking and local trails. (Blanketing, feeding of supplements, medical care etc..as needed.)
*Boarding at Hardins Farm in Stokesdale NC $300 a month
Also can do 1, 2 or 3 week tune up training rates on site.

SHOWS and INSPECTIONS:
Fuel prices continue to rise so fuel must be covered and I cannot quote that here. I split the cost of fuel/ mileage between horses hauling. If I am hauling one of my own, I consider it to be a split haul and not for a client to pay for.

$50 day fee which includes feeding, coaching, and schooling or showing horse.
$35 braiding with rubber bands. Braids are continuously checked throughout the show and redone as needed.
(If it is a training horse, I clean the stall and prepare the horse for showing.)
Mileage, Hotel and Meals (not including alcohol) to be split between clients. Again, if I have a horse of my own showing that horse will be part of the split too.

SALES:
10% sale commission and/or coverage of all sale ads depending on final sale price. When going to see a potential horse for client purchase, lesson rates and times apply. I PREFER to handle all interaction and negotiation with potential buyer to help with the ease for seller.

CLINICS:
There is a 3 lesson minimum for all clinics on site or off. Group lessons are welcome and auditors welcome. I am happy to do a Q and A during lunch breaks or before and or after the clinic and it will be covered in clinic fee. Clinic prices will vary depending on number of riders/auditors and time. All to be discussed before clinic date. Major discounts as the number of riders increases ~ I really prefer to teach a clinic based on helping the most number of riders as possible so I encourage auditors and want to help in price. Clinics are an amazing way to get steady but not regular homework to meet personal goals with horses and challenges as well as help with finding supportive folks in your area to help be ground coaches or just someone to lean on and share break throughs with!

HAULING:
$1 a mile with a $50 fuel sur charge

FARM SITTING/ CHORES:
$30 a local trip min. 2-5 horses Feeding, turning out cleaning stalls, blanketing etc..
$55 a day/ Night
All Checks are to be made out to “Karen Fulcher”. Training and board is to be paid by the 5th of every month or a 10% late fee must be added to bill. Lessons are to be paid before or immediately after lesson unless otherwise specified. Prepaid Lesson packages available; however, are no longer good after 3 months from the last lesson received. Multiple horse/rider discounts also available. Show prices can be given before the actual show and payment plans can be made but must be in place before start of show.
