The night after he resurrected from the dead, Jesus appeared to his disciples in the upper room. In the midst of their doubts and uncertainties, he gave them a commission to carry out their work on earth continuing his ministry:
"As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you." (John 20:21)
At Redwood, it is our desire to carry out the same mission into our world that Jesus carried into his. Jesus came to give life, and give it to the full (John 10:10), to serve others and not be served (Mark 10:45), and to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). Jesus commanded and commissioned the church to function in the same way, to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey his commands (Matthew 28:19-20). It is our desire and mission to bring Jesus into the lives of people in the Rogue Valley so they can see and experience the hope and promise that is found in him.
