WE ARE A RODEO OUTREACH MINISTRY TO COWBOYS, COWGIRLS, STOCK CONTRACTORS, ARENAS AND ORGANIZATIONS, WITH PASTORAL, SPIRITUAL ADVICE AND CARE. BECOMING TRUE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS WITH THOSE INVOLVED IN THE RODEO, LIVESTOCK, OR COWBOY COMMUNITY.

MISSION:
To help the RODEO / LIVESTOCK Community in pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and to be a pillar and a true friend to contestants, teams, arenas, stock contractors, performers and everyone involved in the Rodeo / Livestock community.

DESCRIPTION:
We have been blessed by God, and given a heart and passion for the Rode lifestyle. Our goal is to attend as many rodeos as possible each year with our team members. Our goal is to be there for the Cowboys and Cowgirls for moral support, prayer, and friendship. We are a group of normal people who have been involved in rodeos for years, and know what it’s like being on the road constantly and away from family. We are here to be a friend and offer any pastoral or spiritual support that we can to the Rodeo community.

WHO WE ARE:
Refuge Rodeo Ministry is made up of passionate, genuine real world and down to earth people from all walks of the Christian Faith. This being Pastors, Chaplains, Spiritual Counselors, and regular people who have a genuine care for others. They are trained and prepared to provide pastoral and spiritual needs to all members of the rodeo community and their families everywhere. We meet them right where they are today in their lives and help them build a much better and more stable life for their families. Many of our team are also rodeo and livestock people ourselves. So we can relate to their passions and lives in many ways. Some of our team is even ex-cons, recovered drug addicts, and more, so we do know what these people are facing daily and have walked in their shoes before.

WHAT WE DO:
Basic “Pastoral Care” is a big part of sports chaplaincy. These opportunities usually arise from the Chaplain simply being available to the people in the Rodeo community, building relationships, making connections and helping wherever needed. This happens mostly in an informal way at rodeo events, at training and social events, over the telephone, during Bible studies, or personal appointments.
