The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern California (RIO) was established in 1950 to serve the multi-faceted needs of persons with functional disabilities caused by birth defects, disease, medical conditions or accidents.

RIO is located in Orange, Fullerton, and San Clemente, and offers the following services:
