Are you entitled to benefits?

If you are fully insured under the Social Security program and have become injured after working for a certain period of time, you may be eligible to receive benefits. You will not be disqualified from receiving Social Security Disability benefits based upon your financial assets. You do not have to show financial need to qualify for these benefits.

Because your Social Security Disability benefits will not begin until the sixth full month of disability, it is very important that you contact us to file your claim right away. This is referred to as the waiting period, which begins with the first full month after the onset of your disability.

If you are denied, we can file an appeal.

If your claim is denied, do not panic. You may request a “reconsideration” of the denial of your claim. You have 60 days to file an appeal after you are informed that your claim has
been denied.
