Tia Cochran-Otis, LCSW is committed to helping others identify and face their challenges to reveal their authentic and best selves. Tia believes that with hope, compassion and connection, we can address the needs of the whole person in order to heal and grow.

Tia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from Boise State University and a Bachelors in Sociology from California Lutheran University. In over 10 years of clinical practice, Tia’s focus has been on helping teens, young adults and adults; as individuals and with their families. She has provided services in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, psychiatric hospitals and correctional institutions. Tia is experienced in assisting with a multiple issues, including, but not limited to:

Anxiety
Life Transitions/ Adjustment Difficulties
Relationship Challenges
Trauma/ Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Tia utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach that may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness- Based Stress Reduction, Seeking Safety, and others. Tia believes in the importance of transparency in the therapeutic process. With compassion and empathy, she will provide you with honest feedback and will keep you informed about the process of therapy.
