Bernadette Magno-Popa is an American soldier who is a resume and cover letter writer. On her off duty days from the military, she has been working on writing projects for clients all of the world through websites such as Elance, Freelancer, oDesk and Guru, and now through her own website for her main service: RESUME WRITING and COVER LETTER COMPOSITION.

Before Bernadette became a soldier for the California Army National Guard, she worked as a Recruiter for 2 national staffing companies, Volt and Aerotek. She also worked as an Admissions Representative for ITT Technical Institute and Brooks Institute. During these career opportunities that Bernadette realized that she has a gift and knack on resume revamp, critique and improvement and adjust keywords in the resume to match the job opening description. She conducted job coaching and interview tips to jobseekers to get their foot in the door and get that coveted job.

She has 2 degrees: one in Psychology and one in Fashion Merchandising. Bernadette has always been customer-centric and loved interacting with people. She graduated from college when she was 20 and immediately worked for Turk Hava Yollari (Turkish Airlines) as a Sales Representative based in Manila, Philippines. She briefly worked for Saudia (Saudi Arabian Airlines). She studied with Philippine Airlines in Pasay City, Philippines and TransWorld Travel Academy in Los Angeles, California. Northwest Airlines and United Airlines were her airline employers after that.

After 10 years from her Psychology degree, she decided to go to Brooks College in Long Beach, CA to pursue a Fashion Merchandising degree and she graduated Valedictorian, 4.0. She was selected as Outstanding Business Student by the California Business Education Association (CBEA) and Outstanding Fashion Merchandising Student by her business professors. After her Fashion degree, she helped design apparel for 12 Disney accounts for Disneyland and Disneyworld, Target, Mervynn’s and Kohl’s. This is where she learned project management, creative directing, product development, sampling, manufacturing, merchandising and marketing. She also produced a local fashion show for a church in Newbury Park called: “Italy or Bust” which helped raise $25,000.

Bernadette likes making suggestions on how to improve processes for small business owners and helping Farmer’s Market vendors with their merchandising to complimentary resume writing to servers at her local Cheesecake Factory.
