Revival Fellowship Church of God in Christ

The late Elder Sam Everette and Mother Beatrice Newton were the first two people to speak pastoralship to Elder John Jackson.

The relationship between Rev. Nelson, Elder Everette and Elder Jackson resulted in a new work which first resulted in Northside Fellowship which later changed to Revival Fellowship. On Sunday April 3rd 1981 Revival Fellowship doors were opened and have remained open ever since.

The passing of Rev. Nelson and other circumstances forced Revival Fellowship to relocate. During this time membership was low and jobs were scarce and in light of this God touched the hearts of a couple of members who suggested services move and be held in the basement of there home. This took place in spring of 1985. These were the times that really united the congregation as a family. Five months later, God continued to bless and the church moved to a store front at 1608 N. Mason. The membership increased, jobs became more available and the members grew.

In May of 1991, two members learned of a building for sale at 2810 W. Washington. Six weeks later the members of Revival Fellowship raised $20,000 for the down payment to purchase the building. In 2000, God gave Pastor Jackson a new vision to build a new house unto the Lord. From 2000 to 2002 by God’s grace, Revival Fellowship raised $188,000 and secured the necessary finances to begin construction in the fall of 2002 and the transformation from the old to the new was underway. In June 2004, complete renovation was complete. Revival Fellowship continues to reach out to the community and its residents. In the summer of 2005, RFC started its Summer Food Program. Through this program anyone 18 and younger from the community can receive nutritious Revival Fellowship continues to partner with other churches to promote unity in the community. Revival Fellowship gives all the Glory, Honor and Praise to God for all his goodness and mercy. We are so blessed for the great leadership of our own Pastor Jackson and 1st lady Queen Josephine Jackson. We truly thank God for these 31 years and excited for the future years to come.
