Reynolda Village's shops are housed in buildings which once supported the 1,067 acre estate of the R. J. Reynolds family. The buildings were modeled after an English village and included dairy barns, a cattle shed, school, post office, smokehouse, blacksmith shop, central power and heating plants and also cottages to house the family's chauffeur, stenographer, school master, head dairyman and horticulturist. Reynolda Village's buildings now contain stores, restaurants, services and offices. You'll find the Farmers Market on the dairy barn's lower lawn on Friday from 8:30 until 11:30 AM.
