A Message from the Director:

All veterans deserve the opportunity to make it in Rhode Island. Governor Raimondo and I are committed to making government work better for veterans. In addition to ensuring the Veterans Cemetery and Veterans Home provide top-notch services to Rhode Islanders, I will work to improve access to services, benefits, and training opportunities that help veterans develop skills that matter for jobs that pay.

By funding the Director of Veterans Affairs position for the first time, Governor Raimondo is giving veterans a voice and an advocate at the highest level of government. I’m honored to be that voice for Rhode Island’s veterans, and will fight to expand opportunities for them every day.

Over more than 20 years, my military experience has taught me that successful leadership depends on the ability to listen and to act. I am passionate about the Ocean State and look forward to working with veterans and leaders in all 39 cities and towns to address the unique challenges facing service members, veterans and their families in communities across Rhode Island.
