Check out RibStock II: Ribs & Racing at Berlin Raceway and Entertainment Complex on Saturday, August 29th. The gates open at 3:00, to the public for BBQ tasting, live music, drink specials and a great night of short track racing.

RibStock is Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned grilling competition. The KCBS competition starts Friday night with the Superior Foods Co. Friday Fish Side Dish Challenge where the grillers will come up with their best fish side dish with the fish of choice and an additional mystery ingredient. Winner takes home $500 cash! Saturday the grillers will be competing for $10,000 in prize money in the 4 categories of chicken, pork, ribs and brisket. The KCBS competition will be done before the gates open to the public.

Don't want to compete, but love BBQ? Come out Saturday night for RibStock II: Ribs & Racing where local caterers will be offering $5.00 BBQ & side dish sample cups and you can vote on your favorite BBQ! POST530 will be rocking the stage with great live music, the Left Turn Lounge will be slinging great drink specials and of course it is the Chet Championship of racing where all 7 local divisions will be racing for final points and the asphalt championship.
