Richard Lee Morris has over 40 years of experience in martial arts, 35+ years of experience as a personal trainer and physical fitness advisor and over 40 years of experience as a professional dancer. Richard holds a 4th degree masters black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a 1st degree black belt in Kung Fu, and a brown belt in Judo. He is proficient in both kickboxing and boxing. He holds master teaching certificates in all fields of martial arts and holds a masters certificate in Philippine stick-fighting system of Escrima. In 2003, Richard recieved a certificate in fitness and nutrition, which allows him to conduct exercise regimens, nutritional and dietary suggestions. As for Richards dance experience, his expertise lies in tap, jazz, ballet and ballroom. The combination of martial arts, fitness and dance give Richard a unique perspective of the body and its movement. In 2002, Richard was the first and only in the area to introduce a after-school martial arts program to students in grades pre-K thru 12th grade. He has had 2 after school programs installed in area schools...Holy Redeemer School, Ellwood City, Pa. and Riverside Beaver County School District. Richard has been featured in many local newspapers, featured in the March 2001 issue of TIME Magazine and appeared on WQED channel 13 Pittsburgh "On Q" show. Richard has presented numerous seminars, programs and has been a guest speaker at many local organizations with topics in health, exercise (of all kinds), dietary needs, martial arts and dancing. He also conducts self-defense classes to area organizations and workplace employees. He teaches children and adults from Lawrence, Beaver, Butler and Allegany counties. Richard has owned and operated his own martial arts shcool for over 30 years, there he teachs children and adutls. He has competition students who travel to local tournaments and partake in the Pennsylvania State Championship tournaments year round, with students taking first place in the state thru multiple competition wins.
