More about Richmond's All-America Rose Garden

Open 365 days a year -- free of charge!

In 1985 the Rose Garden Project Committee brought this seed of a Rose Garden into full blossom for the local community of Richmond, Indiana--home to Hills Rose Growers. Hills became a premier company in the Rose industry selling cut roses globally and brining in millions in sales annually. Not only does the garden recognize their great achievements, but also the friendship with that ties globally with other rose gardens and friends.

The Richmond-Friendship Garden features German roses, which were gifted via the famed Europas Rosegarten of Zweibrucken. This garden is most recognized by The Magaw's of Boston, Indiana statue symbolizing friendship.

After only two years of blossoming, our Richmond Rose Garden earned high distinctions by the All America Rose Selection Board, as being an All America Rose Display Garden. With only 130 A.A.R.S publicly displayed rose gardens in the nation, the A.A.R.S Selection Committee offers a variety of all new approved winning roses. In visiting the garden you will find winners dating back from 1946 still blossoming, these are sometimes roses which have yet to be marketed in the field.

In addition, the Garden and Victorian Gazebo may be rented out for weddings and events, with the Historic Charles House being available as well.
