Rikeesa owner, Rick Melillo, didn’t set out to be a stylist. Instead, it was while studying international law and business that he was drawn to the world of cosmetology, identifying it as a field where his business acumen and international perspective on beauty could merge to create something extraordinary.
Rick completed his advanced training at the Sassoon Academy in London and never looked back. He continues to hone his craft by taking advanced classes throughout Europe and the United States, sharing these worldly, cutting-edge techniques with his team.
Rick takes immense pride in the 4,000 square-foot, award-winning space he has created. His greatest joy, though, is working with clients to achieve results that enhance their greatest attributes in ways they may not have imagined themselves—while remaining sensitive to and inspired by their wants, needs and original vision. He knows that often, the greatest results come from collaboration, both with other stylists and with his clients.
Rikeesa has been recognized as a Salon Today 200 honoree and celebrated its 30th year in May 2014. Rick’s most important goal moving forward is to pass on to his staff the knowledge he has acquired and experienced over the years, giving back to the profession that has given him so much and sustaining the legacy he has built for his clients.
