Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon

The Cleveland Marathon began in 1978 in an effort to bring a positive and meaningful fitness event to the City of Cleveland. Some of the race's most tremendous growth has occurred under the Rite Aid Pharmacy sponsorship since 2003, in which time race participation has grown 300 percent.

The annual Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon features one of the flattest and fastest courses in the country and offers both running and walking divisions for all events. Whether you're looking to qualify for Boston, or walk a 10K with your friends - you'll enjoy a scenic "tour" of Cleveland and all the amenities of a world-class event.

The weekend of events include a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 8K, 5K and Kids Run. There is also a Challenge Series featuring 3 different levels to choose from. The full marathon course was revised in 2014 to head west into Lakewood and Rocky River, finishing downtown on Lakeside. Other landmarks on course include Quicken Loans Arena, Progressive Field, Tremont, Ohio City, West Side Market and Lake Erie Shoreway to name a few.

Event dates for 2018 are Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20. The Health and Fitness Expo is on Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.
