River Oaks Golf Course

River Oaks is a nicely maintained executive course in the Paso Robles Wine Country. It is ideal for beginners, seniors or accomplished golfers who want to work on their iron play and short games.

We have 6 holes including 5 par 3's ranging from 100 to 170 yards depending on tee and pin placements. Our 6th hole is an uphill 300 yard par 4 with a semi blind approach shot for all but the longest hitters. Water comes into play on the last 3 holes. With 3 sets of tees at different angles and distances, players can get an 18 hole experience.

We have 6 hole, 12 hole and 18 hole rates, ranging from $8 for unlimited golf after 3 p.m. to $15 for 18 holes during peak hours. Seniors and students get 20% off and kids under 14 play free with paid adult.

Cart fees are from $4 to $8 per person.

Private lessons are $20, with PGA Apprentice Head Professional Jim English. There are free Junior lessons on Tuesdays and free ladies clinics on Fridays.

For companions not into golf, The River Oaks Hot Springs Spa is next door. They can enjoy the mineral springs hot tubs or get a massage while you play golf.

For those with a competitive fire in their bellies, we have a weekly "sweeps" game that you can get into. Total entry fee is $7. $3 of that gets you into a blind draw partners best ball game in which we double the pot. $3 goes into a net skins pot and $1 into a hole in one pot that grows until someone finally accomplishes that feat. You will play with a handicap (approx. 2/3 of your USGA Index, or we will assign you one based on your River Oaks scores). Best of all, payouts are in cash!
