River Rock Community Coalition Inc

We are a coalition of community leaders focused on quality of life issues throughout the Riverside and Black Rock communities.

Our mission is to combat community deterioration, enhance quality of life, coordinate redevelopment efforts and stimulate small business growth in the area.

We plan to accomplish our mission through the following efforts:

- Organize Community Clean-Up and Maintenance Projects
o Organize regular events to clean up streets and vacant lots
o Offer minor property repair/maintenance support to the local residents

- Identify Problem Properties/Violations and Ensure Resolution
o Solicit the local community to identify problem properties and violations
o Research the property owner information to coordinate resolution
o If coordinated resolution is unsuccessful, then report violations to 311
o Track results through 311 and follow through to housing court to ensure success

- Coordinate Revitalization Efforts Throughout the Community
o Identify, acquire and renovate dormant/dilapidated properties
o Promote and provide affordable housing opportunities to those in need
o Negotiate affordable commercial space(s) for small businesses
o Coordinate streetscape and green space enhancements throughout high traffic areas

- Social Events/Activities to Promote & Sustain Community Involvement
o Plan events and activities to educate and embrace our cultural diversity
o Bring our neighbors together to create a community environment
o Promote an attitude of community involvement and pride
