River Run Farm, nestled in the picturesque mountain community of Valle Crucis, is just 5 miles from Boone, North Carolina, the home of Appalachian State University. The farm is 30-acres of highly manicured fields, paddocks and barns that boast almost 1/2 mile of frontage on the pristine Wautaga River.

Valle Crucis, founded in 1842, is North Carolina's only historic rural community and there are many nearby buildings listed on the National Historic Register. Several beautiful churches, historic general stores and B&B's are located in the valley, allowing your guests to experience the splendor of the countryside and be immersed in our historic culture while attending your celebration.
