There are three things that make RiverPath a unique health care choice for families:

1. RiverPath specializes in perinatal care and the “Pregnancy Center” will be complete with a private Mother’s Corner that accommodates the needs of mothers and babies. The dynamic anatomy of a woman’s body during pregnancy, as well as the inherent trauma associated with the birthing process, have been shown to warrant Chiropractic Care for mothers and infants. Studies indicate that chiropractic care during pregnancy decreases labor times, decreases the use of epidural and other birth interventions, help with pregnancy back pain, decrease the likelihood of post partum depression, facilitate successful breast-feeding, reduce colic in newborns, correct cranial asymmetries; all without the use of medication. By increasing the likelihood of uncomplicated pregnancies and births we hope to decrease the odds of a child suffering with a developmental disorder. This care process involves Chiropractic management, nutrition and supplement counseling, exercise advice, and emotional support.

2. We provide parents with an approach to pediatric care, without the use of drugs or surgery. Through gentle, precise, chiropractic adjustments, nutritional support, supplementation, and we help your child heal and grow as nature intended. This is achieved by facilitating the “rest and digest” action of the nervous system as well as removing misalignments that cause inflammation, swelling, and nervous system interference. We provide: Newborn exams, well baby and milestone check-ups, support during immune challenges (e.g. colds, flu, ear infections, asthma), and support for digestive challenges (e.g. breast feeding difficulties, constipation, colic, IBS). Our care plans and brain balancing protocols will maximize your child’s sports performance by improving hand-eye coordination, balancing right and left strength and coordination and improved reaction times, taping if necessary, concussion detection and recovery, and creating long lasting energy through nutrition plans. RiverPath is also happy to provide sports physicals for their patients.

3. At RiverPath, a focus on balancing the brain for optimal development is a major theme. The “Brain Center” will be a room where children with developmental difficulties or delay can be assessed and exercised according to their individual needs. The main focus will be correcting what is known in current research as functional disconnection syndrome, or FDS. Every stage of child development has positive and negative behaviors that coincide with the maturation of the right and left hemispheres of the brain. The work done in the brain center will be based on decades worth of research and study to rebalance the structures of the brain. It will serve as a beacon of hope for parents looking for natural evidence based treatment for brain imbalances.
