River's Edge Diabetic Alert Dogs

A Diabetes Alert Dog is a dog that indicates to high/low blood sugars.
A Diabetes Alert Dog can smell a diabetics blood sugar dropping or
spiking out of range, and "alert" their owner to the onset of a
change in their bodies chemistry and keep alerting them until their
condition is corrected or until they receive the help they need.These
dogs help increase the quality of life for children and adults living
with type 1 diabetes, particularly those who experience
"hypoglycemic unawareness". We offer a four month program where
we evaluate your dog to see if he/she can fit into the program.
Once they have been approved for the program,
we will start the dogs formal training which will include detection
