Riversedge Renaissance Festival

It is with great sadness that i announce the postponement of the Riversedge Renaissance Festival until 2015. due to severe drought conditions the farm has had to purchase a large amount of irrigation equipment that was not forseen. The site work looks beautiful and we will be using this postponement as a catalyst to make our event, site and overall feel even better. Thank you to all of Our vendors, guilds, actors and staff who have worked so diligently to make this event happen. Any vendor who has sent their money in will be promptly refunded and those same paid people will receive a free booth for next year as a token of our thanx. I would like to send out a special thank you and heartfelt gratitude to Molly Drew and Katrina Markham for all their diligent efforts.
This happened the first year we did the northwoods show in Redding and it turned out to be a blessing in disquise the extra time in marketing and planning put 22k people through the gate.
We will be back next year even stronger

Journey back in time to a day when chivalry and honor were common place. To a time when handsome knights rode astride magnificent prancing steeds and jousted for the honor of their lady fair. The place is the small Renaissance village of RiversEdge, set in a beautiful wide open valley with rolling hills and majestic oaks.

Imagine gazing out over the magnificent river while the smell of fresh flowers and the fragrant mix of succulent meats cooked over an open fire tantalize your senses. Then, in the distance, you hear music and merriment. For it is spring festival time and the people are rejoicing with trumpets sounding. For sport, feasting, shopping and singing are the order of the day. So you head towards the village with hopeful anticipation of breaking the mundane.

As you enter this magical village children squeal with glee as they play games and taste yummy sweet cakes while jugglers and street vendors alike add to the cacophony of sounds and flavors that are the festival. You begin laughing till tears of joy run down your cheeks at the antics of jesters and stage shows as the streets abound with artists selling their treasures and wares.

As you stroll further a hawker beckons you to come in and try something exquisite. Although you cautiously enter, you leave their stead in utter amazement and joy. Then, as if by magic, you find yourself in the heart of the village, where children practice their artistic talents and hone their skills at crafting and games all awhile lovely maidens dance around the maypole.

And just when you thought it was over, it actually begins as you are whisked to a cheer, and toast of hearty drink with all your loved ones at the RiversEdge Renaissance Festival. Come have the time of your life, for the place to revive the magic has reappeared by the rivers edge.
