RMYA Thrift Shop

The RMYA Thrift Shop is the conduit for all tangible donations to our nonprofit agency – Roy Maas’ Youth Alternatives, Inc. (RMYA) – from clothing to furniture to food, receiving and distributing donations to the programs and selling only what is not needed. The RMYA Thrift Shop also provides job training opportunities for teens and young adults in RMYA’s TurningPoint Independent Living Program.
The RMYA Thrift Shop is located on the RMYA’s San Antonio Campus at 3103 West Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78213. Proceeds from RMYA Thrift Shop sales directly benefit the RMYA Children’s Programs at both our San Antonio and Boerne Campuses.

The RMYA Thrift Shop shares the San Antonio Campus with our short-term emergency shelter (The Bridge) for children ages 5-17 years; our Counseling Center for children and families in the community; and the TurnintPoint Independent Living Program for teens aging out of foster care and homeless community youth. RMYA’s long-term campus in Boerne – MeadowLand – is home to a residential treatment center and basic care group home for children age 6-17 years and the MeadowLand Charter School for at-risk youth.

Roy Maas' Youth Alternatives, Inc. (RMYA) is a private, not-for profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1976. Over the years, our mission has remained constant: RMYA is committed to caring for children in crisis. Our promise to the community is that we will give every child and family seeking our services our complete dedication and attention. Based on the principles of respect and responsibility, it is our goal to give children a foundation of positive values, which will promote future success and end the cycle of abuse. The majority of the youth in our care are victims of abuse and/or neglect.

The Goals of the RMYA Thrift Shop are to support Roy Mass’ Youth Alternatives and its program by:
1. Making RMYA visible to the Community at-Large, as well as providing affordable goods to the local community.
2. Providing clothing, furniture, food and other donations for use in our Youth Programs.
3. Providing employment and training opportunities for the RMYA’s programs.
4. Providing an additional source of revenue.
