Roanoke College Garden

The Roanoke College Garden is an initiative to provide locally grown, fresh produce to low-income individuals in the Salem and Roanoke communities through various non-profit organizations. The Garden works towards making fresh food available to all people and promotes the awareness of nutrition and sustainability through educational programs that support local farmers and fresh produce initiatives. The importance of organic farming and the nutritional benefits of organic produce will also be emphasized. The Garden space will also engage the campus community by providing garden plots available for personal use by members of the college faculty and staff. The garden will strive to be a place where sustainability is taught and practiced.
