Rock Springs 4-H Center

Rock Springs Ranch was purchased in 1945 as a youth leadership training center and to be the home of 4-H Camp for all counties in Kansas. 4-H members and supporters of the 4-H program raised the funds to purchase the property and ceremoniously burned the mortgage in June of 1946 before the inaugural camping season began in July of 1946.

Since our humble beginnings, Rock Springs 4-H Center with the support of dedicated supporters and donors has grown to the 735 acre property it is today nestled quietly in the scenic Flint Hills of Kansas.

Thousands of 4-H members join us at 4-H Camp every summer to experience traditional summer camp, while also engaging in learning-by-doing in programs that are related to STEM, Environmental Education, Leadership Development, Horses and more. Our many other guests, from family reunions to government agencies, visit us to unplug and unwind. We provide a wonderful experience, where you can let nature be your teacher.

Every structure, program and acre at Rock Springs 4-H Center was purchased and is supported by privately raised dollars.
