Rocky Mountain Granite is a family owned and operated mobile granite countertop sales and installation company has been in Hotchkiss since 2006. Rocky Mountain Granite sells "Prefab" countertop slabs that are imported from quarries all over the globe, bullnosed and polished out of country, then shipped from our wholesale supplier in Anaheim, California. Much of the labor involved in polishing granite surfaces is already completed with the prefab option, keeping the cost very low. Rocky Mountain Granite does customize each fabrication and can accomodate most applications. Prefab countertops come in a few widths to accomodate bar tops, islands, penninsulas, and are 2cm thick with a 4cm bullnose edge detail. They are installed on a wood backer.Prefab counters keep the slabs light enough to manage without the overhead cost of cranes, bridge saws and specialized transportation costs that custom granite shops require, also keeping the cost very low. There are hundreds of color options, availability varies as granite is a natural product and sometimes a quarry is mined out, and new quarries are mined, each with unique color and veining.
