History
Rocky Ridge Collectibles was founded by Forrest R. Mellott. Forrest, a successfull businessman in the stone crushing industry, was looking for an enjoyable place to spend his retirement years. He enjoyed attending public auctions and visiting antique malls and shops. After opening Hancock Antique Mall in 1998, Forrest purchased and renovated the former Rocky Ridge Farm Market building in store in State Line, Maryland, in hopes of turning it into antique store. Rocky Ridge Collectibles was set to open in October of 2000, however, the shocking news of Forrest's untimely death came on September, 23, 2000. He never saw Rocky Ridge Collectibles open. Forrest's daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Dan Gordon chose to continue his dream and opened Rocky Ridge Collectibles in October of 2000.

Our store is contained within a 28,000 sq. ft., climate controlled building and accommodates over 100 vendors in the antique and flea market sections. We also have one of the largest gift shops around.
