At Rocky Ridge Flutes we enjoy making Native American flutes. Most of the woods we use were harvested here in North Alabama and sawn by us. We make 5 hole flutes tuned to the pentatonic scale so all notes are in harmony. We craft flutes of eastern red and western cedar, yellow pine, cherry, hickory, red oak, elm, black walnut, osage orange, and chittum (smoke wood ). We also use imported woods such as mahogany and leopard wood. Our goal is to craft beautiful sounding flutes with the beautiful woods the Creator has given us.
