I am a Marine who has served for almost 22 years in the Corps. I will be retiring from active duty soon and like so many other veterans, I have decided to open my own business. I fell in love with the idea of custom concrete when I decided to take the DIY route and remodel my kitchen. Though it looked "ok", it certainly did not appear to be as nice, or nearly as easy as the youtube videos made it out to be. But nevertheless I really enjoyed it. That was the point where I began doing months of research and found some really in-depth training and decided that this would be my future. I learned how to take the Artisan approach and utilize raw ingredients to make truly 100% custom concrete blends. All my mixes are what is known as GFRC or glass-fiber reinforced concrete. The glass-fiber increases the strength and the specialty admixes give my products properties that you simply will never get from pre-bagged concrete from a home improvement store. For example, you can buy a pre-bag mix from your local store for about $5 per bag give or take, and its gray. My mix base is pure white portland cement and costs around 4-5 times that amount without including any shipping costs. Why portland white? Well I can also make 100% custom color blends that you simply will never get out of gray concrete. Additionally each mix I make is precisely weighed to ensure that each batch is the same. This gives an unparalleled quality that you will never be able to match from a big box store. I do not have set prices and every job is different. But what really makes custom concrete unique is that you can make it as different as you can imagine. If you buy stone countertops, you are limited to what pattern that dealer has in stock, but why should you be limited to something anyone can buy?
