Rogue Overland Adventures was born from our own desire for adventure and our love of the outdoors. It's our way of spending as much time as we can outside while helping others to do likewise. We do this because we love it.

​We are a small company, consisting primarily of one super avid outdoorsman (Dan) who loves Southern Oregon, and his family who gets coerced into helping him with all manner of tasks both menial and fun. Various other Rogues get thrown into the mix as needed. With Rogue Overland Adventures you will have the advantage of being guided by someone who has spent decades wandering Southern Oregon and discovering its hidden gems.

ABOUT DAN:

I remember wanting to be a tour guide when I was in high school. A friend and I wanted to do a horseback tour through Arizona and into Colorado, and as I studied and mapped our route I was intrigued by the many interesting things that we could plan to see. That's when the idea first struck me that I would love to make a living some day by sharing natural and cultural treasures with others.

After spending many years working in other industries, I finally decided to return to my original dream. I have spent over 30 years exploring our region's remote roads and finding unique places. I bring my knowledge of these places, as well as my intense interest in local history, botany, geography, geology, and culture. My personal interests also include outdoor and primitive skills - things like edible and medicinal plants, fire-by-friction, and other similar subjects.
