Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville, Inc.

The 10-bedroom Ronald McDonald House Jacksonville opened across from UF Health (formerly Shands Jacksonville) in November 1988. As pediatric healthcare became more concentrated on the Southbank of Jacksonville, the need for a House closer to those facilities developed.

Our new House on Children's Way opened with 20 bedrooms in November 2001. An additional 10 bedrooms were completed in July 2004.

In 2008, our organization expanded our reach and scope of services to become a Chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities, introducing new opportunities to reach children in the Jacksonville area through our programs.

Supporting local families since 1993, our Ronald McDonald Family Room, located on the 3rd Floor of Wolfson's Children Hospital, serves as a quiet place of respite for local families visiting the hospital for treatment.

In January 2015, we broke ground on a new expansion that will add 24 additional bedrooms and take the House from 42,000 sq. feet to 65,000 sq. feet.
