More about Roscoe

In 1921, George C. Buik and John P O’Connell started the Roscoe Overall Company as a laundering service for customer owned work clothes and rags in Chicago. The product line quickly evolved to supplying and maintaining uniforms, floor mats, industrial towels, mops, linens and restroom hygiene products.

Now owned and operated by James W. Buik, grandson of the founder, Roscoe offers our services to over 2,000 customers within a 90 mile radius of our state-of-the-art facility located in the Lawndale Community. Roscoe provides services to the following industries: manufacturing, food processing, transportation, construction, health services, wholesale trade, agricultural services, education and social services.

Roscoe takes pride in supplying our customers with image enhancing garments decorated with company and name emblems or direct embroidery. A wide variety of floor mats comprise the second largest product category, which not only reduces dirt and wear in an office area, but also increases safety and comfort in the work place. Industrial shop towels, linen products, dust mops and restroom facility services complete the product line. Most importantly though, is the excellent customer service that Roscoe’s team members are wholly dedicated to in delivering clean merchandise and removing soil on a weekly basis, while plant personnel launder, repair and replace merchandise to meet customers’ stringent quality standards.

With its roots in sustainability, Roscoe is committed to environmental stewardship. Donald W. Buik, son of the founder, pioneered waste water pretreatment in 1974 with the newly formed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and two national trade associations. Roscoe boasts the longest record of environmental compliance in the nation. Roscoe continues to pioneer industry best practices, culminating in a modernization of plant and equipment in 2008 – creating one of the most energy efficient plants in the nation.
