We are a County Animal Shelter, attached to Roscommon County Animal Control. This department accepts strays and homeless pets as well as investigating complaints, animal neglect/cruelty cases and rescuing animals in emergency situations.

We encourage and support the community to spay/neuter, vaccinate & provide ID by offering a few low cost services to help.

Low Cost CAT Spay/Neuter Clinic
While in for altering, you can get distemper shots for $15 and rabies for $10. This is only available if your cat is in for the altering.
Roscommon County Residents only.

Micro-chips are available to all, cost is $20.

Micro-chips is for all Dogs & Cats, don't need to be a Roscommon County Resident to get a micro-chip.

Low Costs Vaccination Clinics are January & February, Licenses are due by March 1st.

•Lost & Found Pets need to be Reported to the Shelter Staff. 989-366-0260, press 1. They have a List of Reported Lost & Found Pets.
•If you find a pet after hours or on a Holiday, please call 989-366-0260, press 1 to leave a message, your call will be returned the following day or use the Roscommon County non emergency Dispatcher's number 989-275-0911 for further direction.
Roscommon Animal Shelter is open to the public 9:am-4:pm, 7days a week except closed holidays. Officers/Staff do check answering machine messages few hours prior/after, so please do feel free to leave a message.
•Posts of Lost & Found Pets are Welcomed on the Roscommon County Animal Shelter FB Page, we also encourage the FB page: Roscommon Crawford and Oscoda Lost and Found Pets.
Note: It is recommend you do not list your phone number on social media rather if you have reported the pet to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter you are welcome to leave our number 989-366-0260 &/or for them to contact you via Facebook.

•If you rather your FB question to us be discreet from public viewing *Private Messaging* is available on the FB page; if it's about policy or is of a certain criteria that the volunteers cannot answer, the message will be left for Director Terry MacKillop or Chief ACO Deedee Mendyk.
