Rosy Goat Acres

Rosy Goat Acres is a small family-run homestead located in rural, eastern North Carolina. We are committed to quality and take great care to ensure our animals are happy and healthy. Our animals are raised free of hormones and antibiotics, and we proudly operate under humane standards of care. Unlike larger farming operations, our livestock are not just numbers on ear tags. Every animal on the homestead has a name, distinct personality, and receives daily individual attention (and treats). This care for detail and compassion is the foundation of Rosy Goat Acres and the basis of our ethical endeavors.

It is our goal to create carefully selected breeding programs to highlight the superior qualities of each animal.

* By the end of 2017 we will have New Zealand White fryers for sale. The lean meat of these rabbits is an excellent addition to a pet’s raw feeding regimen and a delicious, low-cholesterol protein for roasting and stews.

* In 2018 we will be offering mini Alpine, mini Lamancha, and mini Nubian goat kids for sale. These smaller goats are a great addition to farming operations of limited space while still providing a nice butterfat content.

* In 2018 we will have pasture-raised potbellied pigs for sale. We chose potbellies due to their smaller stature which makes them easier to handle and their inquisitive, friendly nature.

* In 2018 we will also begin the planning of our livestock guardian dog program. Our goal is to offer exceptional WORKING dogs of a large, solid stature and unrivaled athleticism. We currently have our eye on the powerful Turkish Kangal.
