Rouge Restaurant & Bistro is a prominent culinary and cultural destination in a region bursting with creativity and energy. Established in West Stockbridge, at the very heart of the Berkshires, Rouge presents French cuisine with an ambience of romance and passion, qualities derived directly from the individuals who created this work of love: Chef William Merelle and Maggie C. Merelle.


William Merelle spent his formative years living in the heart of three picturesque provinces of the Pyrenees; Le Bearn, Basque country and the Bigorre, a region whose reputation has been built on its cuisine. The art of the table has never been as diversified nor honored as it is there. Maggieʼs infectious enthusiasm, along with her attention to detail, complement Williamʼs personal vision of epicurean delight and his dedication to raising the bar on his extraordinary cuisine. “Rouge! Cʼest la couleur dʼamour.” Together they have invented a unique style of restaurant found nowhere else.
