Takes Us Back to "Woofstock" at Riverfest 2015

Springfest in conjunction with Riverfest presents the 5th Annual “Ruff on the River Pooch Parade” to be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 This year’s theme is "Woofstock"! Dress up your pooch in a groovy, hippy Woodstock theme. Explore creative ways to costume your pooch and let the judges pick the most creative. The Registration “Pawty” begins at 9:15 a.m. on Bill Clinton Ave a couple of blocks from the Bill Clinton Library. Look for the Ruff tent. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following the parade will be the Weenie Dog Derby for all short legged dogs. There are three different sized categories for the short-legged dog races. Just so you know our very 1st winner was a Pomeranian. Join our celebrity judges on the Red carpet as they give away top prizes at the Winners Circle and introduce the recipients of our proceeds and the winners of the best costume contest.

Each pooch registration includes one human escort. Additional human guests can walk with the pooch member by purchasing an additional escort pass. Registration and escort passes can be purchased online at www.riverfestarkansas.com and onsite at the parade “Pawty”.

Ruff on the River is looking for a way to give back to those in need and this year particularly Arkansas Shelters could use your help. What better way than get the community together for some fun and at the same time do good deeds for animals in need.
