Rumors Salon of Maumelle

Rumors Salon opened for business in April of 1994 featuring Gerald Wolfe as the founder, owner, and only stylist. Shortly after, more stylists began joining the team and Rumors has done nothing but grow since then. In July of 2004, Rumors moved to its current location (115 Audubon Dr, Suite 5, Maumelle, AR 72113), where the staff keeps providing the community in central Arkansas with quality hair services and product. However, by focusing on the education and professional training of all of our staff members, as well as staying current on all new technology, product, and certifications, we have been able to expand our client base to include much of the south-central United States. One such advancement has been in the treatment and styling of “hard to manage” curl through a company named Ouidad. As the only salon in the state with Ouidad certified stylists and because of our dedication to the satisfaction of our clientele, Rumors has become the #1 choice for clients from all around the surrounding region, even if they have a Ouidad certified stylist closer to their home.

Gerald Wolfe - The owner since 1994 with over 25 years experience in the beauty business including extensive experience as a senior stylist with Rusk; Brazilian Keratin Treatment specialist since 2010; trained and certified at Ouidad in New York City to cut, treat, and style curly hair in 2014; Kevin Murphy certified; Schwarzkopf color specialist.
Mary Beth Jones - Senior stylist with 20 years experience, over 10 of those with Rumors. Trained and certified at Ouidad in New York City to cut, treat, and style curly hair in 2010; Kevin Murphy certified; Schwarzkopf color specialist.
Holly House - Senior stylist with 21 years experience, 15 of those with Rumors. Trained and certified at Ouidad in New York City to cut, treat, and style curly hair in 2010; Kevin Murphy certified; Schwarzkopf color specialist.
Shannon Westover - Senior stylist with over 18 years experience, 11 of those with Rumors. Brazilian Keratin Treatment specialist since 2010; trained and certified at Ouidad in New York City to cut, treat, and style curly hair in 2014; Kevin Murphy certified; Redken product specialist; Schwarzkopf color specialist.
Kristen Luckey - Stylist with over 7 years experience, all of those with Rumors. Brazilian Keratin Treatment specialist since 2010; Kevin Murphy certified; eyelash extension specialist since 2013; Schwarzkopf color specialist.
Vicky Barnett - Newest stylist to join our team as a graduate from the Paul Mitchell academy who has just over 3 years experience, all with the team here at Rumors! Having finished training with the senior stylists here, she is Kevin Murphy certified and a Schwarzkopf color specialist.
