More about Russell Scholars Alumni Association

The Russell Scholars Program is a nationally recognized residential learning community housed in Woodward Hall at the University of Southern Maine. Students enjoy spending their freshman year living with their fellow classmates and participating together in core classes through the Russell Scholars Program. Students live in and attend classes in Woodward Hall, with the Russell Scholars Program faculty offices also housed in the same building. Membership in the program is voluntary, and students who remain active in the Russell Scholars Program through graduation are recognized at Commencement and professionally with the designation of being a Russell Scholar.

Since its founding in 1996, over 600 students have been a part of the Russell Scholars Community. Now, over 15 years later, the Russell Scholars Alumni Association has been announced as a new, official Alumni Association recognized by USM. It is up to the alumni to get involved and make the new association into an active, thriving group.

If you are interested in being part of the start, please post to this Facebook page wall or email Stephen Romanoff, Director of the Russell Scholars Program, at romanoff@usm.maine.edu.
