Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer young people are at a higher risk of relationship and dating violence than their heterosexual peers. Safe Dates addresses this health disparity through a dating abuse curriculum tailored to the unique needs of LGBTQ young people.
The Safe Dates program helps young people recognize the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships and equips them with skills and resources to respond to dating violence in their lives or those of their friends. The curriculum covers topics such as positive communication, anger management, and conflict resolution.
